Automatic Drains

Automatic drains discharge condensate from your compressed air system to protect your equipment from corrosion and wear. The benefit over traditional timer drains is automatic drains only operate when condensate is detected, ensuring only water is discharged, saving energy, and keeping sound low. Automatic drains help empty the system of water that has been removed from the air. We also offer zero-loss drains to avoid pressure drops.

How does an automatic drain work?

1. Condensate enters through the connection.
2. The tank collects the liquid, and the diaphragm keeps the drain hole closed.
3. When the liquid levels increase, the floater goes up.
4. Once it has reached the highest level, the solenoid valve opens the pilot valve.
5. This allows the liquid to be discharged.
6. When it reaches the minimum level again, the diaphragm closes the draining hole.
